Swimbait bass fishing the Hinkle shad glide bait- Bienville plantation Pt-3.

Swimbait bass fishing the Hinkle shad glide bait- Bienville plantation Pt-3.

Bass fishing with big swimbaits can be a grind sometimes, but the Hinkle shad glide bait in golden shiner managed to save the day for me. I threw every swimbait I thought may work throughout the weekend at Bienville plantation, and nothing seemed to fire these Florida strain bass up. Since golden shiners were some of the main forage in the lakes i chose to throw the Hinkle shad in golden shiner the later half of the day. Even in cooler water a glide bait can still be a great tool to use. When using glide baits in cooler water, often times I'll match my retrieve speed's with the activity of the bass. If they are slow moving, then so am I. A super slow retrieve over some heavy hydrilla was the key for me. Day 3 I wasn't so lucky.
